The Complete Project Lifecycle
Task Analysis
The initial work to be carried out for each component task will involve specifying all the interfaces to that component and how data should be processed within that component. The task will be broken into its basic parts, with each part being described in a Design Specification Document. This document will also include a description of any user interfaces/ displays which are pertinent to the task under consideration.

Test Specification
Once the requirements for system are clearly understood, a Project Test Specification will be produced which contains a set of test procedures and results to be carried out on the final product to ensure that it meets the original requirements. As each component task is understood additional Task Test Specification documents will be produced to ensure that each task is satisfactorily completed. The test documents will detail the actions to be carried out in the tests and the expected results. This test documents can be made available to the client, who may, if they wish, suggest changes/ enhancements to be made in order to satisfy themselves that their own concerns for each stage and the project have been met.

Software Coding
Once the requirements for any given component of the system are clearly understood Applied Software Engineering will produce the software for that stage. This process may be done in parallel to the test specification for that stage.

Software Test
Once the coding of any given stage of the contract is completed and the Task Test Specification document is completed, the software will be tested using the procedures detailed in the test specification. If any deficiencies are found then the software will be re-visited to rectify the outstanding faults and the tests re-applied. This process will continue until the software meets all of the documented test criteria, at which point the contract may move onto the next coding stage assuming all of the other input criteria for this next stage are complete.

The results of any test carried out should be documented, and can be made available to the client.
